Rethinking where care happens: Our partnership with The King's Fund
:quality(90)/)
The Leveraging innovation to support care closer to home project has been enabled through a partnership between The King’s Fund and Roche, where Roche has provided funding.
For decades, one of the biggest ambitions in healthcare has been simple: bringing care closer to home.
Whether it is managing a chronic condition, undergoing routine monitoring, or receiving treatments, most people prefer being cared for in familiar surroundings rather than making unnecessary trips to the hospital. Yet, despite advances in medicine and technology, much of healthcare remains centered around traditional hospital settings.
We believe it’s time to shift that dynamic.
We are proud to partner with The King’s Fund on a multi-year project: Leveraging innovation to support care closer to home.
This project goes beyond just discovering new technologies—it explores what it takes to bring meaningful innovation into primary and community care settings. By examining breakthroughs in diagnostics, treatment delivery, and flexible care models, this initiative focuses on the real-world system changes and cultural shifts needed to make care closer to home a reality for everyone.
Together, we are striving to support a health system that works better for patients, reduces pressure on hospitals, and delivers care where it matters most: right in our communities.
